About

Dr. Katherine Bauer originally hails from California, where she worked as a registered veterinary technician for 6 years before attending veterinary school at Tufts Cummings SVM in Massachusetts. After obtaining her DVM, she went on to complete an anatomic pathology residency at Kansas State University. She is excited to be back in the Southwest to work at the AzVDL and has a special interest in dermatopathology and canine and feline mammary tumors. She considers herself to be lucky to share her home with one incredibly supporting spouse, an opinionated dachshund mix (Sadie), a rambunctious orange and white tabby cat (Mac), and a very affectionate Domestic Longhair (Thistle). In her free time, Dr. Bauer dabbles in arts and crafts and enjoys leisurely bike rides.
