- Ambient conditions: Samples should be refrigerated at 4-8˚ C
- Whole blood in a lavender top tube with anticoagulant submitted as buffy coat.
- Blood specimens submitted, as blood smear should be on a labeled microscope slide or as determined by Pathologist.
